News: Happy New Year 2008
Kung Hei Fat Choi (wishing you a prosperous new year)! Last week was Chinese New Year, which kept me busy since last Thursday (that and the new Mint rollout), so I was unable to write an article on Friday. However, I did keep up on the news over the weekend and here are some highlights:
Mint News
Last Thursday we rolled out a new version of Mint that supports investment accounts and uses the latest version of Really Simple History. We have also revamped the Add Account process, so check it out.
JavaScript News
- Improve Your YUICompressor - Nicholas Zakas of Yahoo!, wrote a great article on the YUI blog on how you can improve the performance of YUICompressor, by coding better ^_^. Helping the YUI Compressor
- Free Book Chapters - Agile Ajax has posted some Free Book Samples!
- Yahoo! Live - Yahoo! launched an interesting webcam broadcasting service
- strftime - Prototype adds a date formatting function

One thing I wish is that Mint was better at letting customers know of new features.
I mostly find out of new additions via yours and other blogs than via the actual website.
Still, investment accounts feature is a great addition.

It’s “Yahoo!”, not “YAHOO”. Just saying.
And the strftime implementation is neat, thanks for the link!
Cheers,

Dimitry, glad you like Mint, I will make sure that product heres your concern.
Carlo, duly noted. I guess I am used to the YUI way of spelling it and not the corporate way ^_^.
